Regular Braces
Traditional metal braces straighten your teeth by using small stainless steel wire to hold pads against your teeth and gently pressure them to move.
These braces are a simple option for getting your teeth straightened and a big beautiful smile on your face!
The Damon Bracket System
The Damon System uses a patented built-in “sliding door” that holds the wire allowing it to move more freely to straighten your teeth.
What this means is no elastic in your mouth, a smoother transition for your teeth and up to 47% less visits to the orthodontist for adjustments.
Invisalign Braces
The Invisalign system is a completely different way to straighten your teeth, which uses clear retainers. Instead of wires, you simply put a clear plastic retainer in your mouth. As the teeth move, you change retainers, slowly adjusting your teeth into their new position. Starting with a mold of your teeth as they are today, a computer generates the exact steps that your teeth will move through and then a clear retainer is made for each step.
These braces are close to invisible. Often your own family and best friends can’t tell when you have them in your mouth. You can also pop them out to eat, or brush and floss!
Clarity™ Ceramic Braces
At McGarrell Orthodontics, we use the industry standard in esthetic braces, Clarity™ ceramic braces from 3M Unitek™. They accomplish your orthodontic treatment goals just like metal braces.
Clarity™ ceramic braces may be used whenever metal braces are appropriate for treatment. Clarity™ braces are strong like metal, and allow your teeth to be straightened just like with metal braces.
